We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a special issue which has just been launched by MDPI journal Atmosphere (ISSN 2073-4433), titled “Atmospheric Nutrients: Sources and Impact on Terrestrial and Marine Ecosystems”. The board of guest editors include CHASE team members Catarina V. Guerreiro (MARE/IDL and University of Lisbon) and Jan-Berend Stuut (NIOZ and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), and worldwide recognized atmospheric dust experts Cecile Guieu (LOV, CNRS and Sorbonne University) and Tim Jickells (School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia).
In this special issue, we invite authors to submit manuscripts that will contribute to improve existing understanding of the ecological and biogeochemical impacts of atmospheric nutrients from natural and/or anthropogenic sources on marine and terrestrial ecosystems, both in the past, present and future. Contributions based on in situ observations, proxy reconstructions from, e.g., ice-, and sediment archives, laboratory experiments, satellite remote sensing data and/or numerical modelling approaches are all welcome.
Deadline for manuscript submissions is the 30th November 2022!
